Tony Hibbert (born February 20, 1981 in Liverpool, brought up in Huyton, Merseyside ) is an English footballer who currently plays as a defender for Everton. He is a life long Evertonian and it is the only team he has played for.

Hibbert made his debut for Everton in their 2-0 win against West Ham in 2001. He was a member of the Everton youth team that won the FA Youth Cup in 1998. Although originally a midfielder, Hibbert has adapted his game and is now a regular at right-back for the Toffees. In July 2005 he signed a 4 year deal with his hometown club. He works hard, and shows promise in the right-back position for Everton.

Many regard him as Everton's best tackler and he has a fair amount of pace but is still yet to score for the club even though he has been a first team regular for several years. His crossing ability is now starting to improve and he is becoming one of the best right backs the country has to offer. The ACTIM index in fact rated him the best English right back in the 2004/05 season but he still hasn't received an England call up.

He missed the end of the 2005/2006 season with a hernia problem and his preparations for the 2006/2007 season were disrputed after he contracted cryptosporidium parasite, an illness contracted through infected water or food.[1]
