From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tony Gwynn Jr. (born October 4, 1982 in Long Beach, California) is an American baseball player; currently an outfielder for the Milwaukee Brewers. He is the son of former baseball player Tony Gwynn.

Gwynn made his major league debut on July 15, 2006; his first major league hit on July 19 came exactly 24 years to the day of his father's first major league hit — also a double [1].

Towards the end of the 2006 campaign, Gwynn received more playing time, replacing Brady Clark in the lineup. He is expected to audition for a starting role during Spring Training next year.

On November 18, 2006 Tony Gwynn Jr. married Alyse Mallek in La Jolla, California.
