Tony Gormley

Tony Gormley was an Provisional Irish Republican Army Volunteer from Galbally, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. He joined the IRA in 1981 and became a highly active member of the paramilitary group. He was one of eight IRA members and one civilian killed on May 8, 1987 during a pre-planned Special Air Service ambush. At the time of the ambush Gormley was involved in an attack on a Royal Ulster Constabulary station in Loughgall, County Armagh.
