Tony Furtado

Tony Furtado is an award-winning banjo picker and slide guitar player of Portuguese and Italian heritage who was born in Pleasanton, California. A winner of the Grand National Banjo Championship in Kansas, he has released 10 albums, and has played with such notable musicians as Earl Scruggs, Béla Fleck, Alison Krauss, The String Cheese Incident and Ladysmith Black Mambazo. He currently resides in Portland, Oregon.
