The following text appeared at the duplicate page "Tongo (Star-Trek)", which I changed to redirect here:
Tongo is a game played by Ferengi in the Star Trek Universe. It is common to see it played at Quark's bar on Deep Space Nine. He will usually play it with other Ferengi, and usually excluded non-Ferengi from playing, the only exception is Jadzia Dax, and later Ezri Dax who has played the game before from the memories from Curzon Dax. Although Miles O'Brien persuaded Julian Bashir to play Quark to end his unbeaten steak of 249 straight games, he eventually ran out of money, and Quark won with a total monopoly.
It is a card game, with cards laid out on a spinning wheel with a pot in the middle for putting gold pressed latinum inside. The player with the highest title wins the pot at the end.
Rules
- A player has four different options: confront, evade, acquire, and retreat.
- No coaching is allowed, during any game at any time.
