Hi, and welcome to the Military history WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to military history.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The announcement and open task box is updated quite regularly. You can watch it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{WPMILHIST Announcements}} there.
- The project has a monthly newsletter; it will normally be delivered as a link, but several other formats are available.
There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:
- Starting some new articles? Our article structure guidelines outline some things to include.
- Interested in working on a more complete article? The military history peer review and collaboration departments would welcome your help!
- Interested in a particular area of military history? We have a number of task forces that focus on specific nations or periods.
- Want to know how good our articles are? The assessment department is working on rating the quality of every military history article in Wikipedia.

I saw your comment's on the British 53rd (Welsh) Division talk page. I've responded there as well. No need for a separate article for World War II. Go ahead and expand the current article with the WW2 info that you have. I've put placeholder's in the current article for you to add information that you have. —ERcheck @ 22:12, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for creating this article. The article used Straffordshire throughout, but the article title uses "Staffordshire". Which is correct? Thanks. - Motor (talk) 10:35, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Wow! Excellent!. Thanks for adding in the report sent to Monty (I've just sorted some minor spelling errors on it). Could you please advise where you got it from? I've got all of the available Dukes War Diaries from Kew but had not seen that report before, I assumed it had been 'retained elsewhere'. Richard Harvey 08:38, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
