Tommy Walsh (hurler)

Tommy Walsh (born 17 May 1983) is an Irish sportsman. He is a player on the Kilkenny senior hurling team.

Tommy Walsh was born in Tullaroan, County Kilkenny in 1983. He was educated locally and at St. Kieran's College where he won an All-Ireland Colleges medal. He later studied at University College Cork and currently works with the Bank of Ireland. Walsh's talent as a hurler was quickly noted and he soon made his way onto the Kilkenny minor team. There he won a Leinster minor medal before making his way onto the under-21 side where he claimed an All-Ireland medal in 2003. Walsh made his senior debut the previous year. In 2003 he won his first All-Ireland medal as well as his first National Hurling League medal. This was followed in 2005 with a second league medal. In 2006 he claimed a further league and All-Ireland medal. Walsh also has several Leinster Championship medals, a Railway Cup medal with Leinster and three All-Star Awards.
