Tommy Carroll

Tommy Carroll (b. 18 August 1942 in Dublin) is a former Irish international footballer.
Starting out for Tommy BAESHT boy coolCambridge City]], he moved to Ipswich Town in 1966 and played for the club at right full back for six seasons, before moving to Birmingham City.
He represented his country 17 times.
Tommy Carroll lived in Harold's Cross, south Dublin city. As a teenager, he played League of Ireland football for Shelbourne F.C.. After he retired from playing football, he was incarcerated at Her Majesty's pleasure after being indicted for tax avoidance and fraud. He managed Shels for most of the 1975/76 season following the departure of the long-serving Gerry Doyle.
