Tomlinscote School and Sixth Form College, Tomlinscote Way, Frimley, Surrey, GU16 8PY is a secondary school with an age range of 11-16, and the optional sixth form is from 16-18.
The Head is currently Mr A. A. Ryles. Tomlinscote has two Vice-Principals, Dr Trigg and Mrs Johnson-Walker.

Tomlinscote was opened in 1970 as Surrey's first purpose-built comprehensive. It has 1508 students including 190 in Years 12/13, 100 teaching staff and 35 support staff. Students enter Tomlinscote at the age of 11 years from local Junior, Primary and Independent Preparatory schools. Over-subscription is a common feature, resulting in waiting lists for entry.

On 1st September 1996 Tomlinscote was formally awarded the status of a Language College. To attain Language College Status the school had to put together a detailed submission including the aims and targets over a three year period. These targets were assessed against strict criteria by the Department for Education and Skills each year. The Language College submission related to aspects of the whole school curriculum as well as specific objectives in Modern Foreign Languages. A successful first three years led to a re-designation for a further three years in 1999 and the school was one of the first Language Colleges to be designated for a further four years in September 2002.

Tomlinscote has been the victim of contoversy over recent years. In 1999 a large number of female students were punished for wearing shoes with heels that were outside the guidelines given by the school's dress code. The story was covered in the local press. They were sent home and ordered to change them.
In 2001, the school was the victim of accusations of bribery for offering 20 GCSE students £500 to stay at their sixth form rather than go elsewhere. [1]

Due to a significant flight of students after GCSE level to The Sixth Form College, Farnborough, Tomlinscote is planning to close its Sixth Form in the near future.
