Tom Tall

Tom Tall (born Tommie Lee Guthrie, December 27, 1937, in Amarillo, Texas) was a pop rockabilly singer in the 1950's. He started his career when he was discovered at a talent show by indie record label owner Fabor Robison. He often sang duets with Ginny Wright, and later recorded for Crest and Decca where he met Eddie Cochran who was a session musician for the label In the 60s he was on the Chart label and had a comeback hit with his former duet partner.Whilst on Chart Tall made a series of singles including a song called "Walk tall"which was really tailor made because of his chosen name.It was picked up in the UK by irisg singer Val Doonican who made the Top 5 with the song. Today Tall is retired in Los Angeles where he was rediscovered by the German label Bear Family,who'd issued albums in the 80s by both he and Ginny Wright Recently a CD was issued by Bear Family which both artistes had an equal share of
