Tom Howard (born Thomas Merrett Howard December 26, 1969 in Salt Lake City, Utah) is an American professional wrestler, mixed martial artist, kickboxer and actor, Best known for his "Green Beret" role in K1 and Zero One in Japan.

[edit] WRESTLING

-1993: Tom Howard began training under Jesse Hernandez and Bill Anderson in Pro Wrestling, Lucha Libra and Puroresu at the School of Hard Knocks wrestling training school.

-1994: Tom Howard began appearing on NCW Television in Las Vegas using the name "Zuma".

-1995: Tom Howard was recruited to wrestle in Mexico City where he began competing for AAA Lucha Libre as "KGB" - Tom lived in Mexico City and appeared on AAA for 2 years.

-1996: Tom Howard returned to the United States to compete in Antonio Inoki's World Wrestling Peace Festival in Los Angeles, CA.

-1996: Tom Howard took a break from wrestling to train with Gokor Chivichyan & Gene Lebell for No Holds Barred competition.

-Tom Howard and Rick Bassman's formed Ultimate Pro Wrestling and Tom became head instructor for the school, Ultimate University. Tom also began competing in the ring regularly for UPW. Tom's former students include WWE wrestlers such as: John Cena, Victoria, Chris Masters, Jesus Aguilara, Luther Reigns, Sakoda, Heidenreich, Nathan Jones and The Predator.

-1998: Tom Howard signed a developmental contract with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF).. Tom's time was split as an instructor for the UPW and on the road performing in dark matches across the country.

-June 26, 2001: Tom Howard pinned Tony Jones to capture the Southern California Heavyweight title.

-August 22, 2001: Tom Howard became UPW's Shoot Champion when the Southern California title is renamed.

-Tom Howard competed against Shinya Hashimoto for a Zero One Fighting Athletes PPV - Shingeki I - in Japan and was signed to a contract with the company.

-August 30, 2001 - Shingeki II: Tom Howard knocked out Lee Young Gun in Tokyo, Japan.

-May 8, 2002: Tom Howard defeated Christopher Daniels to unify the UPW and Shoot titles in Santa Ana, California.

-July 7, 2002: Tom Howard & Nathan Jones defeated Steve Corino & Rapid Fire Maldon at Sumo Hall in Japan on Zero One PPV.

-December 15, 2002: Tom Howard & Matt Ghaffari beat Shinya Hashimoto & Naoya Ogawa to win the NWA Intercontinental Tag title on Zero One PPV.

-March 2, 2003 - Zero-One True Century Creation II: Tom Howard & Samoa Joe defeated Gary Steele & Steve Corino.

-October 22, 2003: Tom Howard defeated Adam Pearce to regain the UPW Heavyweight Champioship title in Santa Ana, California.

-January 4, 2004 - Z1 Hustle-1: Mil Mascaras & Dos Caras & Sicodelico Jr. defeated Tom Howard & Steve Corino & Dusty Rhodes.

-February 20, 2004 - UPW 5th Anniversary Show: Tom Howard & Christopher Daniels defeated Scott Hall & Kevin Nash.

-October 30, 2004--UPW: Tom Howard defeated Oliver John to retain UPW Heavyweight title.

-February 23, 2005--UPW: Tom Howard & The Predator defeated Sean O'Haire & Chuck Palumbo.

-July 20, 2005--UPW: Tom Howard defeated Horshu to retain Heavyweight title.


[edit] PRO FIGHTING - K1/MMA

-Tom Howard signed a 2 year fight contract with K-1, the worlds top fighting organization based in Tokyo, Japan. He has fought world renowned martial artists such as Hong Man Choi, Carter Williams, Kristof Midoux and Serjbudee "Blue Wolf" Dolgorsuren. He has competed under kickboxing and MMA rules. In August 2006, Tom Howard was recruited by the Tokyo Sabres to fight in the International Fight League.
