Tom Danielson

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tom Danielson (born March 13, 1978 in East Lyme, Connecticut, USA) is a professional road bicycle racer. Previously riding for the Saturn Team on the U.S. Pro Circuit, and for Fassa Bortolo in Europe, Danielson is now a member of the Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team.

Danielson currently holds the record for the fastest ascent of Mt. Washington, New Hampshire, in the Race to the Clouds competition. The previous record holder was another American cyclist, Tyler Hamilton.

After having a very uneventful stint on the Division 1 Italian team Fassa Bortolo and missing the early spring campaign due to visa issues, Danielson is currently racing for the Discovery Channel team, where he won the 2005 Tour de Georgia.
