Tom Chiusano
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tom Chiusano is the General Manager at WFNY-FM, formerly known as K-Rock and currently known as Free FM, at 92.3 FM in NYC. He is also a good friend of Howard Stern, calling him often. He was originally a part of the Howard Stern Show; however when Howard left for Sirius Satellite Radio Chiusano stayed behind and worked with WFNY's new morning show host David Lee Roth. After David Lee Roth's show was cancelled, Chiusano began working with the Opie and Anthony Show, recently producing a TV commercial that has aired in some of their syndicated markets. Occasionally, Chiusano talks about his near-death experience with malignant melanoma.
It was Tom's idea for Howard Stern to stay on the air during the September 11, 2001 attacks. Howard kept asking for his staff to leave and go home to their families, but Tom objected, stating that he thought it would be best for Stern to remain on air. Today, the 9/11 show is one of the most-requested Stern shows on Sirius Satellite Radio.
