[edit] Administration

Stan Laing is the principal (served in his capacity since around the end of the 2005-2006 school year, replacing Brian Woods, who took a job with the central Northside ISD administration), and Michael Bruce is the vice principal (served since the start of the 2006-2007 school year).

[edit] Area served by Tom C. Clark High School

Clark serves a portion of the city of San Antonio and the city of Shavano Park. The school population is over 2900, and since the school is starting to feel overcrowding, Northside decided to build Louis D. Brandeis High School to relieve Clark and Sandra Day O'Connor High School, so that the schools can return to "optimal" population. Brandeis should open in 2008.

[edit] Feeder patterns

Feeder elementary schools include: Blattman, Colonies North, Locke Hill, Howsman, Boone, Leon Springs, and "Boerne Stage Elementary" (opens 2007).

Feeder middle schools include: Hobby, Rawlinson, and Rudder.

Note that this list may change after the opening of a New high school named Louis D. Brandeis High School

[edit] TEA Rating

Clark is currently rated by the Texas Education Agency as "Academically Acceptable". The TEA is the agency who rates schools based on the performance of the school on tests such as the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills.

[edit] Namesake, school colors and mascot

As with all the high schools in the district, it was named after a United States Supreme Court Justice, in this case Tom C. Clark.

The school colors are Black, Silver and White, and the school mascot is the cougar named Neiman and Marcus.

[edit] Programs offered by Clark

Clark offers all the athletic programs sanctioned by the University Interscholastic League. Clark is currently classified as a 5A school, with a population of more than 1900 students. Clark also offers most, if not all of the Academic UIL events, including Social Studies, Science, Current Issues, One Act Play, Computer Science, Computer Applications, Calculator Applications, Literary Criticism, CX Debate, Lincoln-Douglas Debates, various speaking competitive events, and various journalistic competitive events.
