Tom Byrne

Born in Dublin, Ireland, Tom Byrne took up acting after leaving school and went to England to further his career. There he worked in repertory theatre in London's West End. He immigrated to Canada in 1956, and moved into the fields of radio, TV, stage, and film. In 1979, he was invited to appear at the original Robert W. Service cabin, located in Dawson City, Yukon Territory. He has recorded many of Robert Service's poems for tape as well as CD, and returns frequently to Dawson's creek for poetry readings.
