Tolo Highway

Tolo Highway (吐露港公路) is a major expressway on Route 9 of Hong Kong. It connects the new towns of Sha Tin and Tai Po in Eastern New Territories.
The road leads off Tai Po Road near Sha Tin Racecourse. The next 7.3 km (4.5 mi) of the road runs on an embankment on the west coast of Tolo Harbour towards Yuen Chau Tsai (Island House). This section is built along side KCR East Rail. Its upgrading to a dual 4-lane carriageway was completed in 2003.
The next section, 5km (3.1 miles) long and bypasses Tai Po on the hills to its south. This section remains a dual 3-lane carriageway original configuration and terminates at Lam Kam Interchange where it leads to Fanling Highway and interchanges with Lam Kam Road, Tai Po Road and Tai Wo West Service Road.
There are 5 junctions along Tolo Highway: Lam Kam Interchange, Tai Po Tai Wo Road, Tat Wan Road, Island House and Ma Liu Shui.
