Tolleson Union High School

Tolleson Union High School is a High School found in Tolleson, AZ. It was established in 1912, and since then has grown. The original "Old Main" still stands and has been renovated to make comfortable classes. Tolleson Union High School is the only high school found in the small city of Tolleson, AZ.

Tolleson has also been recognized as a high school who holds a program to give students college level classes. These must be tested in with a variety of ways. It is one of the few schools in the state to offer such classes. Recently, ASU has been working closly with the staff to provid maximum support for its gifted students. The current teachers are Terry Caruso [English], Bonnie Pendergast [Mathematics], Joan Stallman [Speech], Felipe Mandurraga [Science], and Ben Thomas [Social Studies]. Students participating in this program may also take ordinary electives, such as Varsity Band, Spanish, Native Spanish, French, Wellnes, Guitar, Keyboarding, and such.

Varsity Band

The school's Varsity Band recently achieved a rating of "Excellent" at the Arizona State Marching Band Festival Division III. This is a major accomplishment, since a level so high had not been achieved in many previous years. Director is Frank Gast.
