[edit] Suggested merge with The Pubic Triangle
"PT" I don't think this should be merged, as only one of the corners is in Tollcross proper. The other parts (!) are Lothian Road, and West Port. There seems to be some dispute as to how large it is, but it always takes in the part furthest from Tollcross. --MacRusgail 17:28, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
- Indeed! I was very surprised when I saw the merge notice on Tollcross, which is (specifically) a major city-centre road junction, and (generally) an area of the west-end of the city centre - bounded by Lauriston to the north-east, the Meadows to the south-east, Bruntsfield to the south-west, and East Fountainbridge to the north-west, while The Pubic Triangle is more specifically (in my opinion) the area around Bread Street described on the page. - calum 23:33, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
- Also, the Tollcross page should read Brougham Street (east) in place of Melville Drive (east). - calum 23:33, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

- Mmmm... OK guys... I will defer to your deeper knowledge of hirsute geometric entities. (ie. I'll remove the Merge tag.) I used to know this part of Edinburgh like the back of my hand (unfortunate turn of phrase?), but am unfamiliar with recent developments. I think that it all started out at West Port in the 70's, 80's? --Mais oui! 23:39, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

- I'm no expert either, but the name is under ten years old, since in the mid 90s, there were barely any in Edinburgh, and then the thing mushroomed. --MacRusgail 16:57, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
