I've just noticed that the table says the track gauge Toll operates on is 4 feet 8.5 inches. This isn't correct - New Zealand's gauge is 3 feet 6 inches (1,067 mm) narrow gauge. I'd correct this myself, but when I go to the edit page, I don't see where to make the appropriate modification to the table. If someone more skilled with Wikipedia could fix that, that'd be great. - Axver 07:55, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

Regarding the table, I've tried changing this and it doesent work. I might make up a new template so we can change it.
Regarding merging this page into Toll NZ, I think Toll Rail is the largest operation of Toll NZ and alot of information can be put into it. It would be good to have articles for all of the divisions as Toll NZ is just a holding company.--Matt von Furrie 22:42, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Railroad or Railway
I've changed the references to Toll Rail as a 'railroad' to a 'railway'. This is because the ordinary usage of 'railway' is far more common in New Zealand than the American term railroad. --Lholden 05:55, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
Also, the portion of the SIMT that coal trains pass over is insignificant, and the 'poorly engineered' comment isn't valid either. The LTSA report I assume you're getting that information from was regarding the Midland Line. Also, coal trains are shuttled between Middleton (Christchurch) and Lyttelton section of the Main South Line. --Lholden 06:01, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
