Toei Shinjuku Line

The Toei Shinjuku Line (都営地下鉄新宿線 Toei Chikatetsu Shinjuku-sen?) is a subway line in Tokyo, Japan operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation. It runs between Motoyawata Station in Ichikawa, Chiba and Shinjuku Station in Shinjuku, Tokyo. At Shinjuku, most trains continue to Sasazuka Station in Shibuya, Tokyo via the Keio New Line, with some services continuing to Hashimoto Station in Sagamihara, Kanagawa via the Keio Line and Keio Sagamihara Line.

The line's planning number is 10 and its line color is yellow-green

  • March 16, 1980: Shinjuku - Iwamotochō segment opens (7.3 km). Through service to Keio New Line begins
  • December 23, 1983: Higashi-Ōjima - Funabori segment opens (1.7 km)
  • September 14, 1986: Funabori - Shinozaki segment opens (4.9 km)
  • March 19, 1989: Shinozaki - Motoyawata segment opens (2.8 km)
