A humble suggestion (and if it's a religiously insensitive one, forgive me): as this is Easter Sunday for Catholics and Protestants (the arguably #1 holy day for a significant minority of the world's population), might it be more appropriate to have a featured article that addresses some aspect of Christian belief or practice? I would certainly personally agree with highlighting other major faiths once annually in a similar way, but perhaps it would clutter up the calendar too much. We have a small stable of religious FAs that would do...of those never featured, I admit the two clearly Christian entries are likely too controversial (Fred Phelps) and likely too obscure (Presuppositional apologetics), but given that some of the articles previously spotlighted haven't been on the Main Page in over a year and a half (Anno Domini, for instance) I think it wouldn't be a travesty to have them up again. Again, if this is ridiculously insensitive, forgive me, please (I have, after all, no objections to Sverre Sigurdsson or his fans :-). I just think it might be an appropriate moment to spotlight our excellent neutral articles in the general area of Christianity, given that "casual inquirer" traffic on that day might be slightly more religious in nature than usual (given the high amount of religious TV programming and the increased levels of church attendance that traditionally accompany that day). - Generally marking events with related Features are frowned upon, they're pretty tacky. 65.95.124.63 02:14, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

- How about (Saint) Joan of Arc, which I originally put in the religion section, and it got moved, but I've been meaning to move it back? Raul654 02:15, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
- If the anon's comment about tackiness is an honest one, I would want to be a bit careful about advocating too strongly for such a thing. But I think Joan would be a good choice--it's not like having Easter be the fatured article or Jesus (which I agree might feel a little too on-the-nose), but it might catch a little more attention from a passerby on that particular day. If you'd be happy with that, Raul, I'd certainly like to see it. Jwrosenzweig 04:30, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
