Todd Blackadder

Todd Julian Blackadder (born September 20, 1971 in Rangiora) was a professional New Zealand rugby union player and later a professional rugby coach. He now serves as Director of Rugby for the Tasman Rugby Union. His nickname is "Toddy".

He played for the All Blacks 25 times, including 14 as captain. He also played for the Crusaders at lock. Among his achievements as a player were captaincy of the New Zealand All Blacks, the Crusaders Super 12 team, and the Canterbury provincial team. He then continued to play professionally, in Scotland as the captain of the Edinburgh Gunners.

He was the first assistant forwards coach of Scotland's first foreign head coach Matt Williams, and became the forwards coach of the Edinburgh Gunners under Frank Hadden. He now serves as the Director of Rugby for the Tasman Rugby Union in the National Provincial Championship. He now is also part of the coaching team for the Crusaders.[1]
