Tod Murphy

Tod James Murphy (born December 24, 1963 in Long Beach, California) is an American former professional basketball player who was selected by the Seattle SuperSonics in the 3rd round (53rd overall) of the 1986 NBA Draft. A 6'9" center-forward from the University of California, Irvine, Murphy played in 5 NBA seasons for 4 different teams. He played for the Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons and Golden State Warriors.

In his NBA career, Murphy played in 191 games and scored a total of 1,049 points. On March 17, 1990, as a member of the Timberwolves, he scored a career high 24 points against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Murphy is currently an assistant coach for his alma mater at UC Irvine.
