CBC News: Today is a wide ranging show on CBC Newsworld, featuring many different hosts, broadcasting from both Toronto and Calgary weakdays starting at 11 a.m. eastern time. The show is designed to cover the news as it happens throughout the day. Often that is done through live coverage of speaches and events, and through interviews with newsmakers and experts.
The show also has business news, hosted from the Toronto Stock Exchange by Jeannie Lee. There are also updates from the CBC News Weather Centre at five minutes to each hour.
The show has many hosts and sets throughout the day, including:
- Nancy Wilson from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. eastern from Toronto.
- From 1 to 3 p.m. eastern, the show is broadcast out of Calgary and is hosted by David Gray and Kathleen Petty.
- At 3 p.m. the show moves back to Toronto and is hosted by Suhana Meharchand.
