Tobias Gregson
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tobias Gregson, a Scotland Yard inspector, is a fictional character who has appeared in a number of the Sherlock Holmes novels and short stories by Arthur Conan Doyle. He was first introduced in A Study in Scarlet; his other appearances include The Adventure of Wisteria Lodge and The Adventure of the Red Circle. He is not considered by Holmes to be a very good investigator, though Holmes does comment on Gregson's bravery. In one of the stories Watson specifically mentions the callous and cool way in which Gregson moved. His rival in crimefighting at Scotland Yard is Inspector G. Lestrade.
