TNA Destination X
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Destination X is the name of the monthly professional wrestling pay-per-view event held by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling for the month of March. Despite what the name seems to imply, the show is in no way focused around the X Division any more so than around any other wrestling division.

[edit] Ultimate X
What has come to seemingly be a staple of the Destination X Pay Per View is the inclusion of an Ultimate X match into the fold.
[edit] Ultimate X Challenge
Destination X 2005 marked the debut of the Ultimate X Challenge, a 4-man Ultimate X match modification that consists of three tiers:
- A tag team competition that ends when a man is pinned (effectively eliminating him)
- A 3-way match between the remaining competitors that ends when another man is pinned (eliminating him as well)
- A standard two-man Ultimate X Match in which both competitors try to maneuver the highwires in order to retrieve the prize located high above the center of the ring.
The men and women competing in the original match were AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Elix Skipper, and Ron Killings. Killings was the first man eliminated (by Skipper), then Skipper was eliminated (by Daniels). Daniels won the match by stealing the belt from Styles after he had retrieved it, but the referee was unconscious and only saw Daniels with the belt.
[edit] Ultimate X 2006
The first Ultimate X Match of 2006 was a matchup between TNA X-Division Champion Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, and Christopher Daniels. It was the third time these three have faced off in TNA, the first two times being at TNA Unbreakable and at TNA Against All Odds 2006, and brought an end to the feud for the time being. The winner was Christopher Daniels, continuing his unbeaten streak at Destination X. The match ended abruptly after Samoa Joe temporarily lost vision.
