Tiruverkadu (or Thiruverkadu) (literally meaning A forest of holy herbs and roots) is a western suburb of Chennai, Tamil nadu. However, administratively, it comes under Thiruvallur district. It is famous for its Devi temple. Nearby towns include Poonamallee, Koyambedu.
