[edit] Tir’s Age

This may cause trouble, but is worth noting. Because of the way Japanese count age (Starting at 1 instead of 0), all ages in their publications are off by one year in occidental terms. While I’ve seen some publications (Not related to Suikoden mind you, just random stuff) use the occidental age measurement, this doesn’t seem to be the case here. If Suikosource’s timeline is accurate, and I have yet to see any indication that it’s not, Tir was born in Solis 440, joined the Liberation Army in Solis 455 and Joined the Dunan Unification Army in Solis 460, making him 15 during Suikoden I and 20 during Suikoden II. Now, I realize that the difference of age in Suikoden II is a very shaky theory seeing as I’m relying on a guide made by fans, but I’m pretty sure of the first one: Tir was, in occidental measuring, 15 years old when he started his journey. And before anyone brings it up: Even if his age is correctly listed at being 16 by Japanese terms, this is the English section of Wikipedia so we should use the age measurement logic 99% of the people who will look at this will employ.

Of course, feel absolutely free to correct the hell out of me. I only brought this up because someone has yet to come and do exactly that. Ephyon 00:51, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "Young Master"

An alias is a fake name employed to disguise one’s identity or, at best, a separate form of referral towards a person that is used in replacement of a real name such as a nickname (Blue Lightning or Bear, for example). It is not the case with “Young Master”, which is merely a honorific title used by Gremio, Pahn and Cleo, akin to “Lord” or any of the sort. If we were to include that, then we'd better start plowing through the games for every single instance in which a character has been addressed as "Sir", "Master", "Commander", "Captain", "Lady", "Madame", etc so that they can be included into their respective characters' pages. Not particularly eager to do so myself, mind you. Ephyon 11:25, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
