This final album from Game Theory is a compilation album of songs which, according to the liner notes, "reached national obscurity, as opposed to local obscurity." Band leader Scott Miller went on to form The Loud Family.

The album's title refers to the poem Baseball's Sad Lexicon, though it also suggests the band's penchant for tinkering and allowing seemingly random elements into their work.
