Tingo District

Tingo is a district of the province of Luya in Peru. Tingo offers several attractive places, like the fortitude of Kuelap, most known about the whole region.

The management holidays of the people The Tingo are celebrated of September 8 and 9. As typical meals there is known the Chochoca, the Nickname, the Sweet of Bean, the Stew, the Shurumbo and the cuy with dads between others.

In the north the District of Tingo has border with the District of Colcamar, in the East with the District of Levanto (Chachapoyas) and Magdalena's District (Chachapoyas), in the southeast with the District of Saint John of Lopecancha, in the south-west with Maria's District, and in the west with the District of Longuita. There is a highway to the Tingo that continues towards the fortitude of Kuelap and the market of Yumal.
