Tina Howe

Tina Howe (born 1937 in New York City) is an American playwright.
She is best known for her plays Painting Churches and Coastal Disturbances; the latter received a Tony Award nomination for best play in 1987.
She currently teaches at Hunter College in New York City and has been a member of the council of The Dramatists Guild of America since 1990. In June of 2006 she travled to Paris as a guide for students studying abroad. In Paris they studied the work of Ionesco and created short works of their own based on their experience in Paris.
