Timur Ishmuratov

Timur Ishmuratov is a Russian citizen who is alleged to have ties to terrorism.[1] Ishmuratov was one of eight Russians held by the United States in extrajudicial detention in the Guantanamo Bay detainment camps, in Cuba. Ishmuratov was repatriated to Russian custody, cleared, released, and subsequently rearrested for suspicion of an act of sabotage in Russia.

Ishmuratov, fellow Guantanamo detainee Ravil Gumarov and Fanis Shaikhutdinov were convicted of bombing a natural gas pipeline on May 9, 2006.[2]
