[edit] Biography

During the 1980's, Sköld went by the name "Tim Tim" and played bass guitar for Shotgun Messiah (originally Kingpin). In its earliest form, the band had played in Sköld's home town in Sweden before moving to Los Angeles. By the time the 1990's hit, roster changes had Sköld moving from bass to frontman. It was during this time he began using the name Tim Sköld instead of "Tim Tim". In Shotgun Messiah's last year together (1993), Tim Sköld and bandmate Harry Cody recorded an industrial rock album, a style Sköld would continue to play to this day.

After the disbanding of Shotgun Messiah, Sköld released the solo album Skold in 1996 and joined industrial band KMFDM the following year. During KMFDM's temporary hiatus, he co-founded the short-lived MDFMK project with Sascha Konietzko in 2000, later participating in KMFDM's 2002 return. He also performed with ohGr and friend Taime Downe's band The Newlydeads.

In 2002, incomplete demo versions of several unreleased tracks from Sköld were stolen and distributed as an unofficial EP known as Dead God; while the songs have never been officially released, they are widely available on the Internet.

During the same year after appearing in the promotional video for Tainted Love, Sköld replaced Twiggy Ramirez as the bassist of Marilyn Manson. He played on the album The Golden Age of Grotesque and still remains in the band currently, though he is now the studio guitarist, as well as bassist. As of April 2006 (and as early as October 2005), he has been mixing and recording the new Marilyn Manson album in various private studios and the band have completed eighteen to twenty songs. The album, as yet untitled, is also being co-produced by Sköld and is rumoured to be scheduled for completion in November 2006 ahead of a planned release date of March 2007.
