Tim Riley is a radio personality in Portland, Oregon. He was a newsman at Hot Talk 1080 KOTK and was a regular member of the Rick Emerson Show. Born in Nashua, New Hampshire, Riley got involved with a local radio station and began a career that took him to California. In the late nineties, he was fired from a job in California and moved to Portland in 1998, where he was soon paired with Emerson. He can now be heard on KCMD-AM 970 "Solid State Radio," in Portland.

Tim Riley was newsman for KOTK's "The Rick Emerson Show". He was the show's "straight-man", reading the news as reported from the wire, which was then commented on by Rick and others. He was notorious for having little-to-no understanding of the pop-culture on which he reported on-air as well as being unable to properly pronounce both common words and the names of media stars and starlets.

Riley was also central to the show's various "watches", which tracked news regarding a specific subject. For instance, the show had a long running "Bush Watch" throughout the Presidency of George W. Bush. Riley also hosted the:

Riley was with the show until 2005, when the station that broadcast it changed formats to music. Following an absence for the radiowaves the show returned to the air in early 2006 and Tim Riley has reclaimed his position and the show has remained a stalwart of Portland radio.

Tim Riley is the namesake of "The Tim Riley Factor", a Rick Emerson Show house band. The band included Emerson, Producer Sarah Dylan, Kristin from Accounting and a series of other members. The band's original songs included:

Riley continues to put his spin on current events with a once-in-a-while podcast that he continues to produce. He is still a resident of the Portland area, and can be seen on the "Computertime" TV show in the Pacific Northwest.
