Tim Hughes is a Christian worship leader and songwriter with Survivor Records, who is currently Director of Worship at Holy Trinity Brompton, a vibrant Anglican church in central London and heads up Worship Central, a new worship training resource. The son of an Anglican vicar, Hughes grew up in Birmingham and studied History at Sheffield University.
Prior to his current post, Hughes worked at Soul Survivor Watford Church, where he was Worship Pastor (the current Worship Pastor is Ben Cantelon). He moved to Holy Trinity Brompton in 2005 and, with Associate Director of Worship Al Gordon, has set up the Worship Central project.

[edit] Recording career
Tim Hughes has recorded and released two albums: Here I Am to Worship in 2001, and When Silence Falls in 2004. His Dove Award-winning song Here I Am to Worship has become a world-renowned worship song for the church. Other well known tracks of his include Jesus, You Alone; Consuming Fire; and When all around is fading.
Currently, Hughes is recording a new album at Chapel Lane Studios in Hereford. Tracks include Out Of The Darkness, Happy Day, Centre Of It All, God Of Justice, Everything, The Highest And The Greatest and Clinging To The Cross, which were previewed at Soul Survivor 2006.
Hughes' songs are published by in the UK by Survivor Records and distributed globally by EMI CMG

Hughes released his first book, Passion For Your Name in 2003, in which he gives his advice on many issues, including worship leading and songwriting.
