Tim Horan

Tim Horan (born 18 May 1970) is a former Australian rugby union footballer. He played for the Queensland Reds in the Super 12, and represented Australia, he was one of the best centres in the world throughout the 1990s. He also played stand-off.

His father is Mike Horan, Member of Queensland's Parliament for Toowoomba South. Tim's brother Matthew is a journalist. They have a sister.

Horan initially played rugby league and first started playing rugby union while studying at the secondary school Downlands College.

He partnered Jason Little and Daniel Herbert. Horan played a vital role in Australia winning the 1999 Rugby World Cup. He was voted player of the tournament (winning himself a year's worth of Guinness).

Horan completed his career at the English club Saracens.
