Tim Handren is the COO of USAA Group. He has been an employee of USAA since 1986. Handren began his USAA career as a mainframe system programmer and worked his way up through the organization.

He was the driving force behind the implementation of the usaa.com web site, institutionalization of project management discipline, process engineering discipline, and is now focused on improing the operational efficiency of the entire enterprise.

Handren, the proud son of a retired NCO, attended Texas Tech University but transferred to St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas where he earned a BBA.
