Tim Anderson (Ananda Marga Three)

Tim Anderson, a former member of the Ananda Marga group, was jailed with two others for the 13 February 1978 bombing of the Sydney Hilton hotel in an episode known as the Hilton Bombing. An inquiry overturned the convictions and he was pardoned and released in 1985 and paid compensation two years later.

Tim Anderson currently lectures in Political Economy at the University of Sydney. He has degrees in economics, international politics and political economy with a doctorate on the political economy of economic liberalisation in Australia.

He has been published in various journals, more recently on development, trade and human rights issues. He has also written or co-authored six books on the criminal justice system, prisons, civil rights and self-advocacy."
