How about dropping the nationalities of all these people? It would remove the need for a lot of double checking (the Conrad Gessner article lists him as Swiss rather than German, for example) and the ever-confusing problem of whether "German" should link to Germany or Holy Roman Empire. Great idea. I have just done this. Most 19th century entomologists changed nationality several times in the course of their lives as the Napoleonic wars and then the tumult of the 1840s overwhelmed their birthplaces. Italy is another problematic country in this respect.Notafly
Could someone fix the link voyages of exploration please? This is to French Wikipedia but is easily read. On my computer I get % and so on in the web address.Notafly
