Tignes-les-Brévières

Tignes-les-Brevières is a small skiing village in the French Alps near (but with a much lower elevation than) better-known Val d'Isère.
However during the 2005/6 season, Les Brevieres had over 4 meters of snow just a much as the main Tignes resorts.
Les Brevieres is a traditional village and is much more picturesque than the other villages of Tignes.
The skiing area between Tignes and Val d'Isère is marketed as, L'Espace Killy, after the 1968 (Winter) Olympic gold medalist, Jean-Claude Killy.
Tignes offers 47 ski lifts: 2 funiculaire, 1 cable car, 24 chairlifts, 19 drag lifts – an area of 50 km² and 150 kilometres of ski runs – 67 ski trails: 1 green, 40 blue, 16 red, 10 black – a maximum vertical distance of 1900 metres from the Grande Motte (3450 metres) to Les Brévières (1550 metres).
