Tiglieto is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Genoa in the Italian region Liguria, located about 30 km northwest of Genoa. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 611 and an area of 24.4 km2.[1]

The municipality of Tiglieto contains the frazione (subdivision) Acquabuona.

Tiglieto borders the following municipalities: Campo Ligure, Genoa, Masone, Molare, Ponzone, Rossiglione, Sassello, Urbe.

In 1120 Tigleto Abbey was the first Cistercian monastery to be founded in Italy. Its monks went on to found Lucedio Abbey, near Trino) and Staffarda Abbey, near Saluzzo.
