"Adults are not known to eat." If I'm not mistaken, they do. I have a male T. Pruinosa feeding right in front of me! It is drinking juice from a common office plant (epiremnum pinnatum) at the moment. See http://www.mechaworx.com/Cicada/behaviors4.asp for info on adult cicada feeding.
