Tiết canh

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tiết canh is a traditional North Vietnamese breakfast pudding made from the raw blood of ducks and on occasion, geese, and sprinkled with crushed peanuts. Raw blood of swine is also sometimes used. The dish is mostly popular amongst the country folk. The government of Vietnam has been considering banning the sale of tiết canh due to the H5N1 bird flu virus, but so far has not done so [1].
