Thumb Wrestling Federation

Thumb Wrestling Federation: TWF is a television series of live-action shorts on the Nicktoons Network. It is about two rival thumb wrestling teams in the fashion of professional wrestling with its colorful characters and over-the-top emotions and antics. The protagonists, the Dexteras, keep their rivals, the Sinistras, from winning the TWF title. The wrestling bouts are hosted by two commentators, Colonel Cossack (a former TWF wrestler) and Dick Thompson (who are also thumbs).

[edit] TWF "history"
Before its current state, the TWF was an honorable federation that was led by its older "wise thumbs," with TWF legend Newt Knuckle as its president. Everything was "thumbs up" in the TWF until a rookie thumb wrestler named Pageboy Skull came in and demanded a top spot in the TWF without working his way there or showing respect to any of the elder wrestlers, such as Newt Knuckle, Colonel Cossack (who is now a commentator for TWF), and Phineas D. Finger.
President Newt Knuckle swiftly denied Pageboy Skull his request, causing Pageboy Skull to revolt against the TWF. Pageboy, who later rechristened himself Senator Skull, led a revolt against the TWF and formed a group of renegades called the Evil Sinistras, whose plan is to take over the TWF and the world. In response, a group of honorable thumb wrestlers called the Mighty Dexteras formed to defend the TWF from the Sinistras.
As a result of the split, some of the elder thumbs, such as Newt Knuckle and Phineas D. Finger, disappeared while the other elder thumbs, such as Colonel Cossack, simply retired. Now, the Sinistras and the Dexteras do battle on a weekly basis as they compete for the TWF Championship.

The Dexteras, or "Mighty Dexteras", as many fans call them, represent the team that holds the thumb wrestling federation together. Those with respect and honor will choose this team over the Sinistras, who wish to take total control over the thumb wrestling federation, (TWF).
[edit] Vini Vidi Victory
Vini is the leader of the Dexteras. He used to hang out with ruffians, until he discovered the joys of leadership and honor. Vini Vidi Victory has taken a solemn vow that the Sinistras will never rule over the Thumb Wrestling Federation. He's armed with Dextera Determination!
Signature Move: The Vini Vidi Vadavoom.
DEFEATED; Reason for Loss: The Big Time reversed his Signature Move.
[edit] Hometown Huck GRAND CHAMPION
A "good old boy" and a nice young man, before he joined the TWF, he was farming and doing trustworthy things. Now, he keeps the stables clean from any Sinistra who wants to fight him!
Signature Moves: Hometown Shuffle and the Houston Huckster.

This female thumb wrestler is very good at poetry. She'll read you a poem and crush you before you know it, giving new meaning to the phrase "slam poet". She once defeated Corbata with "the greatest poem ever".
Signature Move: The Greatest Poem Ever.
DEFEATED; Reason of Loss: Got pinned by The Big Time when she got distracted by Pinky and they admitted their love of each other.

Good, evil, magician, trickster, hypnotist; life sure is confusing when Evil Ira is around! This crazy Dextera took the name Evil Ira after he found out the name Good Ira was already taken. Recently he switched sides and joined the Sinistras. It was recently discovered that due to senator skull he hipnotized himself.
Signature Move: The Evil Eye.
DEFEATED; Reason for Loss: Got pinned after he tried to get Hometown Huck to say "I hate Omaha".

This Dextera does not do well with jokes, but he (kind of) does well at wrestling. He discovered the TWF a long time ago. Everybody thought it was a joke, but soon the punch line will be a gut buster!
Signature Move: The Blowhole.
DEFEATED; Reason for Loss: The Big Time performed his Time Bomb creating a Nuclearish Explosion.

A character similar to Tom from Tom & Jerry. Being bashful and curious is a great mix for Tom Cat. He can cough out hairballs twice the size of his body and can make kitty litter rain on any Sinistra's head. He once became Zombie Gonzales.
Signature Move: The Kitty Litter Boxer.
DEFEATED; Reason for Loss: The Big Time bit him back after he bit him. ("He bit the biter!")

This Dextera is always ready to get literally down and dirty in his matches. He has seen some gross places, but that's what he calls home.
Signature Move: Spit out his intestines.
DEFEATED; Reason for Loss: Itsy Bitsy webbed him and then convinced him to admit defeat.

This wrestler has the highest strength of all Dexteras, but somehow his clumsiness gets in the way.
Signature Move: Spine-crack Back-Break Surprise
DEFEATED; Reason for Loss: He broke his own back performing his signature move.

Nobody knows who made this robot, but they must had a sense of humor. This Dextera is great at dancing, but the only dance it knows is The Robot.
Signature Move: Similar to Dorsal Flynn's Blowhole.
DEFEATED; Reason for Loss: Was hit by a chair thrown by N Fuego's friend Cheeko.

Pei Pei is a charming princess, who is also one of her country's leading acrobats. N Fuego believes that she is a panda bear.
Signature Move: Purple Crusher.
DEFEATED; Reason for Loss: Passed out due to heat exhaustion from N Fuego's Forbidden Dance.
[edit] Gary The Intern
Looking for excitement, this Australian barber joined TWF. He was originally an intern. Now Gary The Intern will mean one thing: The Sinistras are going to be sent "down under"!
Signature Move: A haircutting type move.
DEFEATED; Reason for Loss: Got pinned after Senator Skull performed his Skull Revenge Shocker.

Having a famous Dextera, The Stash, as a father is a point of pride for James Flag. He's ready to laugh in the face of danger! He later would have a small cameo in the final fight saying that "It's not Flag Day," and "Somebody would have told me if it was Flag Day."
Signature Move: None, though his father's Signature Move is the Super-Sneeze.
DEFEATED—even though he had an unfair advantage; Reason for Loss: Senator Skull defeated both him and his father with his Super Skull, creating a huge mess in the process.

The Sinistras, led by the evil Senator Skull, will stop at nothing to win the TWF title, but the Dexteras are the team that keeps standing tall.

The leader of the Sinistras, Senator Skull will not rest until the Sinistras control the Thumb Wrestling Federation. As lowly Pageboy Skull, he led the rebellion that split the Thumb Wrestling Federation in two. He was born in Boca Raton, Florida. Defeated when The Big Time "clocked" him out during his fight with Wasabi.
Signature Moves: The Skull Revenge Shocker and the Super Skull.
DEFEATED (disqualified); Reason for Loss: The Big Time "clocked" him out. The referee then declared Senator Skull was cheating.

This samba-loving hothead is very popular with the ladies. Dexteras have learned to fear this wrestler whose soul is on fire. This Sinistra is not one you'd want to come across in the TWF ring!
Signature Moves: The Forbidden Dance and The Super-Salsa Spin.
DEFEATED; Reason for Loss: Evil Ira's Evil Eye caused a piano to drop on N Fuego's head—and the referee's head too.

Not to be confused with the classic children's song, Itsy-Bitsy will crush (or eat) any Dextera who dares to challenge her. This is one wrestler you don't want to mess with!
Signature Move: A web-based attack.
DEFEATED; Reason for Loss: Pinned by Hometown Huck's Hometown Shuffle after she tried to eat both him and the referee.

With a big mouth and a big attitude to match, the Big Time was the bully of his hometown. He'll really get angry if you ask him what time it is! This Sinistra is also feared by the Dexteras and his own Sinistras (Proof is when Senator Skull and N Fuego were watching a soap opera, The Big Time comes in and demands to know what's going on. N Fuego exclaims that they "only got this movie so we could smash it!")
Signature Move: The Time Bomb.
Defeated Reason of lose: Got pinned by Hometwon Huck with help from Pinky.
Notes: The Big Time sometimes referers himself in the third person and is unable to swim. (When Dorsal Flynn performed his Blowhole, The Big Time panicked and screamed "Help! I can't swim!")

"Slightly" forgetful inside and outside the ring, this wrestler is easy (very, VERY easy) to defeat, that is, unless he remembers he is up against a Dextera in the ring!

When this extrathumbestrial entity first landed on Earth, he didn't know about the TWF, and his translation device was broken, so he ended up choosing Senator Skull's Sinistra team. He now lives to invade and eventually conquer the TWF.
Signature Move: Laser Eyebeams.
DEFEATED; Reason for Loss: Got pinned after Vini performed his Vini Vidi Vadaboom.

This Sinistra was born with a poisonous pinky.
Signature Move: Python Stinger.
DEFEATED; Reason for Loss: Pinned after Hometown Huck (after he finished barfing) performed his Hometown Shuffle.

This British wrestler has good manners and sneaky snake moves.
Signature Move: The Snake Swipe.
DEFEATED; Reason for Loss: Defeated by Hometown Huck's Houston Shuffle.

Video games know no worse punishment than Corbata. This Sinistra knows if he wins, it's game over for the Dexteras!

This boy was very confused and even convinced himself he's a bat. With no rigorous training, this Sinistra depends on his mask to strike fear into the hearts of any Dextera. Unfortunately for him, he's not scary.
Signature Moves: Bat-Attack Pat, Summon Leather Wing.
DEFEATED; Reason for Loss: Crushed by Leather Wing.

The Amoeba loves parties, and what better way than to join the Sinistras this year. She once sneaked into Evil Ira's stomach when the Dextera was distracted by Good Ira.
Signature Moves: Defensive: Able to shrink. Offensive: Able to jump into her opponent's stomach.
DEFEATED; Reason for Loss: Hit on the head by a rubber chicken via Evil Ira's Evil Eye.
[edit] The Lost Viking
The Sinistras found this Viking frozen in a glacier and taught him their evil ways. Believing Senator Skull is his master Thor, the Lost Viking will attack the Dexteras in rage.
Signature Move: Berserk of Fury.
DEFEATED; Reason for Loss: Hit in the head by bricks via Evil Ira's Evil Eye.

- It is a spoof of the World Wrestling Entertainment (formerly World Wrestling Federation).
- According to the final minor match, Senator Skull has a flatulence problem and a mean dog.
- Billy Batboy has a bat friend named Leather Wing.
- In one episode, Colonel Cossack chose baseball over wrestling, but then stayed with wrestling, because in his opinion, baseball has too many lies ("Babe?! Not Baby?!').
- In another episode, Colonel Cossack proposes to Dick Thompson, but Dick turns him down because Cossack "wasn't [his] type."
- Whenever The Big Time performs his Time Bomb maneuver, Colonel Cossack exclaims "He's winding up!" then Dick Thompson corrects, "No, he's counting down!".
- James Flag's middle name is Montgomery.
- The referee has suffered a lot of abuse. In one episode, he was mysteriously bound and gagged. In another episode, he was drenched in slime. He has been webbed. Also, a piano has been dropped on his head.
- The order of major and minor wrestlers:
- The first major Dextera beats the first and second minor Sinistras.
- The first major Sinistra beats the last and second-to-last minor Dexteras.
- The first Dextera does the first quarter-final match.
- The Sinistra wrestler The Big Time is a parody of the ECW wrestler The Big Show
[edit] Grand Champion Hometown Huck Vs. The Big Time
The grand championship starts with Dick Thompson and Colonel Cossack recaping both fighters road to the finals. Bad comedian and Dextera Dorsal Flynn then talks to both fighters.
In the grand championship Hometown Huck vs. The Big Time both fighters have a good first round. In the middle of the second round former Dextera Evil Ira uses his hypnotism to slow down Howntown Huck. The Big Time wastes no time in pulverizing Huck until the spell wears off and Huck regains his speed and throws some high speed punches at The Big Time until the second round ends. In the third round The Big Time Then uses his signature move The Time Bomb on Huck. Huck his hurt from this move but is not out. Getting up Huck uses his signature move The Hometown Shuffle. Huck is about to defaet The Big Time but both fighters knock heads and fall to the ground unable to get up. Pinky vowes to help Huck and Dexteras everywhere and gets in the ring and pushes Huck onto the Big time making Huck and the Dexteras the winners.

The show is on every Monday night at the top of every hour starting at 7:00 PM EST on Nicktoons Network in the spring. The show is on every Monday night at 7:00 PM EST and again at 10:00 PM EST on Nicktoons Network in the summer.
