Three great nobles

In Japan Three great nobles are figured playing an important role in the Meiji restoration. They are:
- Ōkubo Toshimichi of the Satsuma-han
- Saigō Takamori of the Satsuma-han
- Kido Takayoshi (also known as Katsura Kogorō) of the Chōshū Domain
