Three Fires Middle School

Three Fires Middle School is an American middle school in Howell, Michigan, named for the Council of Three Fires The school opened in 2001.

Each student has a team of four core teachers and two encore classes. The four core classes are English/Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, and Science. A few of the Encore classes are Communication Arts, Art, Life Management,Human Growth & Development, World Language and Physical Education. Each student has an option to take choir or band as one of the encore classes. They are year-long classes and each have four required concerts throughout the year. If you take band or choir, you will have a total of four different encore classes the whole year. If you do not take band or choir you will have eight different encores.

The sixth grader's schedules look like this:

Homeroom (7:42-8:00)

1st hour, Core class (8:00- 8:45)

2nd hour, Core class (8:50- 9:35)

3rd hour, Encore class (9:40- 10:25)

4th hour, Encore class (10:30- 11:15)

5th hour, Core class (11:20- 12:06)

Lunch (12:06- 12:36)

6th hour, Core class (12:41- 1:27)

7th hour, Integrated Studies (1:32- 2:21)
