Most of the information on this page is redundant or belongs somewhere else (e.g. 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake). I doubt that a 17 year old girl who wrote a moving essay on a tsunami is notable, but hey, space is cheap I guess. Rl 11:17, 20 Feb 2005 (UTC)

When Presidents Clinton and Bush were given articles and drawing of tsunami victims when they visited Sri Lanka they were moved to tears. This essay has brought the same emotions - anyone who was moved by the pictures of the tsunami would be moved by this essay. This should be kept. HS 17.30 21 Feb 2005

Sorry. This is an encyclopedia. We try to collect and present facts, not essays that move people to tears. There are and should be places for essays, but wikipedia is not it. Personally, I think the original essay from the Daily News should qualify for the wikipedia sister project wikisource as a testimonial for future generations or something (provided you can get it under a proper license from the original author or the newspaper), but others may disagree.
