Thomas Yu

Yu Koon Wai 余冠威 (born 1983) is the 46th chairman of the Hong Kong Federation of Students and currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Civic Party. He is one of the students who are banned from visiting mainland China. He graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

In 2004, he was invited to visit Beijing. However, since he insisted on talking about the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989, he was banned from visiting Beijing since then.

As he was extreme popular among the university students in Hong Kong, and was invited to join the Civic Party.
