Thomas Nelson (supercentenarian)

Thomas Nelson Sr (born July 8, 1895) is, at age 111, currently the oldest living man in the USA, since the passing of Moses Hardy in December 2006.
He has been living in Port Arthur, Texas since the early 1930s. He opened a candy shop in the mid-1930s, and worked there for more than 60 years.
As of December 7, 2006 he is officially the second-oldest living man in the world and one of only two men still left who were born in 1895.

There remains at least one possible challenger to Thomas Nelson's runner-up title, although the case of Richard Washington, allegedly 113, hasn't been completed yet.
