Thomas Jerome Welsh

Thomas Jerome Welsh (1921—) was the first bishop of the Diocese of Arlington and the second bishop of the Diocese of Allentown. He was ordained a priest of what was then the Diocese of Philadelphia on May 30, 1946 and became its auxiliary bishop on February 18, 1970.

He was later ordained titular bishop of Inis Cathaig on April 2, 1970 and bishop of Arlington on August 13, 1974. He was installed as bishop of Allentown on March 21, 1983 and resigned on December 15, 1997.
